Collective Worship
We have developed a Collective Worship programme that incorporates exploration of questions, prayer and reflection as part of everyday acts of Worship. Our programme is designed to do this at an age appropriate level and with all staff playing an active part in its delivery. We have close links to the village church and our local incumbent Reverend Katrina supports us in leading one of our worship sessions weekly.
If a parent of a pupil requests that their child be wholly or partly excused from attendance at Collective Worship at the school, the pupil will be excused until the request is withdrawn. Please put this request in writing to the headteacher.

Christian Values
Our Christian narrative is to “Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves.” This narrative is taken from a letter from St Paul to the Romans which talks about the unity of people, embracing each other’s differences and coming together to create a community. We feel it very much reflects the ethos of our school. We have linked this to three core values of love, respect and fellowship.
Much of the school’s ethos around behaviour, conduct and the holistic development of the pupils is around other key values and we therefore have a two year programme for the teaching of other values. Pupils are rewarded for their demonstration of these values.
